Boxing legend is the latest celebrity to move his family and his businesses — including Golden Boy Promotions, a major player in pay-per-view sporting events — to Sin City. On Thanksgiving 2023, De La Hoya and his partner, sports broadcaster Holly Sonders, moved into their luxurious five-bedroom, seven-bathroom home, which they reportedly purchased for $14.6 million while it was under construction, in the upscale community of Henderson, Nevada, a quick 15 miles from Vegas.
“It’s got a modern feel to it, but it’s very homey. It’s very warm,” Sonders tells . “And that’s what we love about it.
” Built by Blue Heron, the one-acre, hilltop, ultra-modern, smart-tech compound is in the gated community of MacDonald Highlands. Known for its state-of-the-art mansions, it broke records in 2020 when loanDepot founder Anthony Hsieh purchased a compound in the development for $25 million. The De La Hoya compound features an outdoor living room, electronic glass doors, multiple pools, a $500,000 man cave with a golf simulator, a wine room, spa, hair salon, media room and uninterrupted, breathtaking views of the Nevada desert.

and you have a straight view of the Strip,” Sonders says. “At nighttime, it is spectacular. Like July 4th there you could see fireworks.
Every single firework. Every day it’s just so fresh and clear.” The couple bought the home, located on the DragonRidge golf course, early enough in the process to cust.
