A massive vacant lot with a sad history has hit the market, offering a huge slice of land to buyers with imagination looking to escape the hustle and bustle. The one-acre property at 51 Gould Street, Gormanston in Tasmania’s west was once home to the town’s primary school before it blew down in high winds in 1951. Like most properties in the once-bustling town, the lot remains vacant, with Gormanston’s population having dwindled over the decades.
