With 32 entries signed up for the 2024 NPC Guam Michelob Ultra National Bodybuilding Championships, the national qualifier promises to be a high-level spectacle of bronze, buff and beautiful bodies. “It is quite fun as an audience to come and watch, even if any of you don't know anyone that's competing,” said Guam National Physique Federation President MaryAnn Camacho, who is also the National Physique Committee district chairperson. Camacho explained that the men’s classic and women’s bikini divisions are fan favorites.

The annual show will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at RIHGA Laguna Guam Resort.

Tickets, at $35 apiece, can be purchased at any Paradise Fitness location or $40 at the door, which opens at 5 p.m. “I've been taking over and producing the show for 20 years now, which is crazy when I really think about it,” Camacho said.

“The National Physique Federation has been working hard with NPC to give our athletes a whole lot more opportunities to compete,” added Camacho, sharing that several of the competitors for the upcoming event will have military backgrounds. She said that a lot of their regular competitors have been taking a break and they are seeing many new faces in this contest. “That's (the) exciting part,” she said.

Although the Physique Federation’s previous show was held in December 2023, Camacho told the Post they added another show to give local and international competitors more opportunities to compete and earn coveted profe.
