A city salon has lost out on "thousands" of pounds while work took place to repair the devastation caused by a two-car crash six months ago. The shopfront of Beauty Lounge Amelie, in Constitution Hill, was damaged on November 10 when two cars collided at the traffic lights for North Walsham Road, near The Woodman pub. One car was shunted into the side of the Old Catton business as a customer was having her nails done giving both her, and the nail technician, a nasty shock as a black Ford smashed into the wall below the shop's main window.

The three-week repair at the salon has cost the business "thousands" of pounds. Gigi Stonkiene, who's owned the business for three years, said: "Due to the work on repairing the shop front, me and my staff have lost out on work.
