A restaurant that became an institution on the eating out scene in North Wales will officially change hands after this weekend. In February of this year, Tyddyn Llan in Llandrillo, Denbighshire , was sold by Bryan and Susan Webb after 22 years running the restaurant and accommodation. The restaurant had held a coveted Michelin star for over 10 years and been a popular destination for foodies from across the world – not forgetting its local regulars.

They stayed on to run the site while the new team was set up. Their last service will be this weekend - 48 years after Bryan started his career as a chef at the Crown at Whitebrook. They said it would be an "emotional one".

Gareth previously held a Michelin Green Star, the first in Wales, at the restaurant at five star hotel Pale Hall Hotel in Llandderfel, near Bala. Gareth, who will be bringing his own vision of Welsh gastronomy to the kitchen, will begin the new era in July.
