A newly released photo captures Jay Slater hours before his disappearance in Tenerife on Monday. The snapshot sees the 19-year-old apprentice bricklayer at a Sunday evening rave, after which he departed with two newfound acquaintances and vanished the following day. Jay, from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, made the trip to the vacation spot alongside two friends for the NRG festival.
He exited the event with two individuals he met onsite, moving on to an Airbnb located in a mountainous nature reserve. He is thought to have set out alone into the challenging landscape on Monday. Today, investigators were pictured clearing litter from the same area.
Police, search dogs and firefighters continued their search today. Jay's phone last transmitted signals from Rural de Teno Park. His activities post roughly 8.30am on Monday remain shrouded in ambiguity.
