The couple bought a boutique hotel in Lexington called Brierley Hill. “It’s a bit far from Iris but has great relaxing views. We get a lot of parents visiting their college kids there,” Dickerson said.

Then the couple came across Afton Mountain in 2023. “Afton Mountain came across to us, around August of last year, it was interesting because it would be taking our hospitality experience to another level,” Dickerson said. Dickerson said that he and his wife loved the beauty of the property and that it would complement the Iris Inn.
