Monday, May 27, 2024 The new Cunard cruise ship, Queen Anne, made a grand entrance on her maiden voyage as she sailed under the iconic Forth Bridges this morning. The ship was welcomed with a spectacular water canon salute and the sounds of a traditional Scottish piper, Louise Marshall, as it docked in South Queensferry. The Queen Anne, a magnificent vessel measuring 322.

5 meters in length and 64 meters in height, is the 249th ship to sail under the Cunard flag. It has the capacity to carry over 2,900 guests and 1,225 crew members, promising a luxurious and unforgettable experience for all on board. Rob Mason, head of cruise for Capital Cruising, expressed his excitement: “We are thrilled to have Cunard’s brand new ship call into the river Forth.



She is a magnificent vessel, and we extended a very warm Scottish welcome to her and her guests as they arrived into South Queensferry early this morning. “Scotland’s cruise business contributes significantly to the economy, supports hundreds of jobs, and delivers benefits to local businesses and communities. This is our busiest cruise season ever as passengers and ship lines choose our ports and anchorages to access the vast variety of attractions that Scotland has to offer, including our UNESCO capital city of Edinburgh.
