A Birmingham Airport store opened in time for summer will be a "welcome addition" for holiday-makers, travel chiefs have said. The new shop, located in the departures lounge, has opened just in time for the summer, and will be well used, with some 221,500 customers expected for the half-term holiday rush alone. It will also have the unique offering of a qualified in-store pharmacist meaning holiday-makers will be able to access over-the-counter medicines. The store arrives in a period of huge change for Solihull-based BHX, after its "state-of-the-art" security hall upgrade came into operation on May 25.
