Ms. New Jersey Senior America! Former Staten Islander Lenore Cibelli-Lambert was crowned Ms. New Jersey Senior America 2024 at Harrah’s Resort and Casino in Atlantic City on June 1, after placing first runner-up in last year’s competition.



She will represent the Garden State at the national pageant, to be held at Tropicana Hotel and Casino the first week of October. ”I had a great time this year and stayed calm,” said Cibelli-Lambert, a retired teacher who now calls Sayreville, N.J.

home. “I enjoyed each and every moment and gave it my all.” Cibelli-Lambert claims the title 48 years after vying for Miss Staten Island.

Judging is based on four categories: Interview, evening gown, philosophy of life, and talent. For the talent portion of the competition, Cibelli-Lambert sang “My Grown Up Wishful List,” an original song written by her husband, Al Lambert, the iconic and popular singer and businessman from Staten Island. “As a singer it was important to me to sing a song originally titled, ‘My Grown Up Christmas List,’ but re-wrote part of the words to this song a few years ago for a telethon my husband [Al Lambert] created to raise money during the Ukraine war,” said Cibelli-Lambert.

“I titled it ‘My Grown Up Wishful List,’ feeling that is was time to bring the song back because it is all about bringing people together in peace and a plea to end war.” The runners-up for the 2024 pageant were: Jackie Turner-Alfonso, 3rd runner up; B.
