star Mark Little looks worlds away from his onscreen character 36 years after he moved to Ramsey Street. The 90s TV favourite is best known for his role as Joe Mangel in the beloved Australian soap. But it’s fair to say the soap star is nothing like his onscreen character, and now lives a peaceful life in the heart of the Welsh countryside.
The 64-year-old actor first joined the popular series back in 1988 and left three years later in 1991. But he didn’t say farewell to the Aussie soap forever, when the soap star returned to the show in 2005 and once again in the highly anticipated reunion back in 2022. After his stint on Neighbours, Mark went on to replace Chris Evans co-host the Channel 4’s The Big Breakfast alongside Zoe Ball.
He also showcased his acting skills in various films and plays throughout his career. This included his one-man show Defending the Caveman, which bagged him a Laurence Olivier Award back in 2000. But the actor looks very different to his hunky character in the soap Down Under.
Loyal viewers will remember Mark with short, dark brown hair and a clean-shaven face. But in recent years, the star is sporting long grey locks and a lengthy silver beard. Back in October last year, Mark posted to Instagram proudly holding card pronouncing him ‘Best actor’ for his lead role in a production called Passing Through.
Captioning the sweet selfie, he wrote: “Thanks for the accolade @newrenaissancefilmfestival Passing Though is a low key, emotional little.
