A concerned mum is seeking advice after revealing her daughter is refusing to wear shorts in summer unless she's allowed to shave her legs. She went on to explain how her own mother passed away when she was just six years old – so she didn't have anyone to show her these things in life. She added: "I started [shaving] when I was about 13/14 because my older sister was making fun of me.

I asked her if people were making fun of her about her hair and she said no that she just doesn’t wanna wear clothes that will show it." However, most users urged her to teach her daughter how to shave correctly, believing she could harm herself by doing it behind her back. One user said: "I think this really has to be tailored to the kid.
