Leah Harrison, who was a Year 6 pupil at Mount Pleasant Primary School in Darlington, was on a school trip near Carlton Bank when she was caught in the mudslide around 1pm. Dozens of rescuers rushed to the scene to try and save the girl, but sadly she died.
