Saturday, June 29, 2024 Montauk Yacht Club, a 107-key resort and marina on Star Island, has reopened following a multi-million-dollar renovation and the addition of the Ocean Club Montauk. Managed by Proper Hospitality within The Collective portfolio, the property now offers a fresh, design-driven experience. Built in 1928, the resort unveils a new chapter with the debut of Ocean Club Montauk, a dining venue led by acclaimed South African Chef Jarad McCarroll.

Drawing inspiration from his St. Barths location, Chef McCarroll’s menu features freshly caught seafood, local produce, a raw bar, and traditional South African Braai dishes. The 220-seat restaurant boasts the largest open kitchen in the Hamptons and offers panoramic waterfront views of Montauk’s landscape, yachting culture, and seaside lifestyle.

The renovation extends to the hotel’s common areas, outdoor facilities, and accommodations. Guests will find refreshed rooms and suites, enhanced with curated Aesop amenities for an elevated stay. A new 24-hour gym is equipped with state-of-the-art strength training equipment, Woodway treadmills, Octane ADX air bikes, RO rowing machines, TRX equipment, and offers weekly fitness and health classes.

Launching in July, the resort will introduce a full spa menu in partnership with La Prairie. The La Prairie Spa at Montauk Yacht Club will offer facial treatments featuring the brand’s Skin Caviar and Platinum Rare collections. La Prairie’s Skin Caviar The Mist, a hydrating.
