The final post that Dr Michael Mosley shared on Instagram before his death saw him try to continue to help people lead healthier lives. On Sunday June 9, it was confirmed that Dr Mosley had died at the age of 67 after a body was found in a search that’s been taking place for several days. The TV doctor initially went missing on Wednesday June 5, while on holiday on the Greek island of Symi with his wife Dr Clare Bailey.

After his body was discovered and confirmed to be him by police, his wife Dr Bailey released a statement paying heartfelt tribute to her husband , who she married in 1987 and with whom she had four children. In her statement, she said: ‘I don’t know quite where to begin with this. It’s devastating to have lost Michael, my wonderful, funny, kind and brilliant husband.



‘We had an incredibly lucky life together. We loved each other very much and were so happy together. I am incredibly proud of our children, their resilience and support over the past days.

It’s clear that Michael meant a huge amount to so many of you.’ On the day that he disappeared, Dr Mosley shared a post on Instagram promoting his BBC Radio 4 series, Just One Thing.

He wrote in the caption: ‘If time is tight, what’s the one thing that you should be doing to improve.
