Reports indicate that the Duchess of Sussex reached out to a Nigerian monarch in gratitude for the warm reception she received on her journey, which held personal significance as she learned through DNA testing that she has 43% Nigerian ancestry.

Following Prince Harry 's brief return to the UK for an Invictus Games event at St. Paul's Cathedral in early May, the Royal couple jetted off from London Heathrow to Nigeria. Meghan, who missed the London service, joined Harry at the airport before they embarked on their British Airways flight to Africa.
