A map has shown the lone deserted valley where British teenager Jay Slater made his last movements before his tragic death. The 19-year-old bricklayer, from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, is suspected to have plunged to his death in the remote village of Masca in Tenerife. It comes after human remains were discovered by Spanish police on Monday, around one month after he was first declared missing.

Jay vanished after he partied at a three-day music festival on the island. He travelled back to an Airbnb to stay with two British men, who claimed that he had "nowhere to go" after his friends left him. The following day, on June 17, he alerted his close friend to tell her that he was going to make an 11-hour walk back to his accommodation.



During the call, he is said to have shared that his phone was on one per cent battery and that he needed a drink. But he hadn't been seen since. On Tuesday, a Spanish court confirmed that the remains that were found belonged to Jay.

Following the devastating update, a map has documented just how far the corpse was discovered to the Airbnb that he stayed in overnight. The diagram also compared where he was found to the location where his mobile phone last 'pinged' before his battery died on the morning that he was reported missing, reports Manchester Evening News . After spending a few hours at the holiday cottage, with the two British men who were swiftly ruled out of enquiries, Jay then walked uphill towards a viewpoint near to where his mobile ph.
