RTE have made a major shake-up as a popular presenter has returned on air to "take back her title". Camogie star Anna Geary is back on Ireland's Fittest Family following the birth of her first child, Ronan. The Cork native had stepped back from last season while she was on maternity leave and was replaced by Olympic star Sonia O'Sullivan.
And Sonia will be staying put for her second season and will be going head-to-head against Anna for the first time. Davy Fitzgerald and Donncha O’Callaghan will be of course returning to the show in hopes of taking home the title. While former jokey Nina Carberry, will be leaving the show as she's been elected to represent the Midlands-Northwest in Europe.
Anna is ready and willing to come out on top this year as she said: "I’m delighted to be returning to Ireland’s Fittest Family this season. "It’s bigger & better than ever before. I really missed it - the families, the crew, the coach rivalries, even the pre-race nerves.
Donners was a great champion, but he’s had his moment in the sun. "I’m more determined than ever to take the title back!" While her fellow Cork sporting legend Sonia said: "It’s so great to be back on Ireland’s Fittest Family. "I have a good idea of what goes on now and hope to use my experience from last year to do even better this year, stay ahead of Anna and Davy and chase down Donncha to the finals and challenge for the title of Ireland’s Fittest Family 2024.
