Prayagraj: At a time when the administration is preparing to organise Maha Kumbh in a grand manner, the prominent ashrams of the Sangam city too are making preparations on their end for the mega religious event. One such ashram Maharishi Mahesh Yogi located in Arail which usually attract number of tourists and devotees during Kumbh and Maha Kumbh is getting a facelift. The Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Samadhi Sthal and its main gate , built on the lines of Akshardham temple, are being given a new-grand look.
Apart from the main Samadhi Sthal, the entrance is being beautified by constructing main gate, which is being built on model of ancient architecture called Gopuram, which is followed in South Indian temples. Gopuram is usually the main entrance gate in the temples of South India. It is a high and grand main gate.
Gopuram is built from colorful and carved stones with beautiful artwork. Its main purpose is to enhance the beauty of the temple. The Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Samadhi Sthal, built on the northern end of Mahesh Yogi Ashram on Arail road, besides Yamuna, is already a centre of attraction for the people.
At present, it’s gate is being constructed. The main gate will be unique in itself in the entire state. Ashram manager, Sunil Srivastava said that the main gate is being built on the model of ancient architecture Gopuram.
