FAIRMONT — Joining the mission to revitalize Fairmont’s downtown, Loving WV will officially open its first location on Monroe Street with an all-day event on June 20. The brick and mortar store is one of several businesses in recent months to open its doors downtown. Owners Evan and Evan-Nicole Chapman create merchandise that reflects the core of West Virginia’s culture.

“While we are selling merchandise, we’re also selling stories and the history of the state,” Evan-Nicole Chapman said. “So if you come into our store, we want that to be part of the experience. We want to have an interesting reason to just come visit.



” This is the vision guiding the renovation and design of the Loving WV storefront. The couple wants to encompass and highlight Fairmont history within their space. Loving WV is beloved state-wide.

Heather Bonecutter, of Fairmont, has been a patron and supporter of the company since 2017 when their products were available solely online. During the renovation of the Former Fairmont Times building, the Chapmans have operated some pop-up stores for various events. “There couldn’t be better people running the company, and the Chapmans really believe in our state and our region,” Bonecutter said.

“They are great artists, and they take the time to capture what’s unique about West Virginia.” The grand reopening on June 20 coincides with West Virginia Day, a day for celebrating the state’s history and showing state pride. “They approached .
