The Loveland Garden Tour and Art Show will be returning this weekend, marking the 20th year the Loveland Youth Gardeners have invited residents all across the Sweetheart City to see what local gardeners have cultivated. “We are really excited to keep on with the great event we have,” said Kelly Robenhagen, executive director of the Loveland Youth Gardeners. The tour helps to fund the youth gardeners program, which provides local youth with horticultural therapy, outdoor education, opportunities to build new interests and skills and a place to connect with others and with nature, according to the event’s website.

Participants will be given a map they can follow on their own to each garden around town, taking as much time as they’d like to see everything each garden has to offer. This year, the show will feature seven gardens, ranging from small spaces at residential homes to a Montessori school and even the LYG garden itself. All of the gardens also focus on the theme of “planting with purpose.

” Ali Slocum will be showing off her garden in east-central Loveland for the first time this year as part of the show. She said she was drawn to be part of it for a few reasons, including the fact that she has a deep appreciation for what the youth gardeners do. She also said she wants to use her garden, even though it is smaller than others, to show just how much nature can be planted and placed in one space that is both beautiful and functional.

Her garden features not only.
