LEOMINSTER — Jim Joiner and Theresa Cormier’s love story is one for the ages, one that spans nearly three decades. Friends and family of Jim Joiner and Theresa Cormier attended their June 14 wedding at Sunrise Senior Living. (DANIELLE RAY/SENTINEL & ENTERPRISE) The couple recently wed at Sunrise Senior Living in a simple ceremony that showcased their obvious admiration and love for each other.
Jim’s brother came down from Seabrook, New Hampshire for the special occasion and beside him, two friends and a handful of staff members witnessed the intimate wedding, a first at the assisted living facility that anyone could recall. Sunrise Activities and Volunteer Coordinator Lorrie Brodeur cued up the music as Activity Assistant Jennifer Maguy wheeled in the beaming bride at the June 14 affair. Theresa wore a lovely navy-blue lace overlay dress and gold sandals, and Jim was smartly dressed in black slacks and a white polo shirt.
She held an all-white bouquet of flowers, and he wore a boutonniere from White Cottage Flowers in Sterling, which Sunrise staff had gifted to them. Sunrise Executive Director Peter MacDonald happily officiated the ceremony. “We are gathered here today to celebrate the union of two very special individuals, Teresa and Jim, who have shared a remarkable journey together for the past 29 years,” MacDonald said.
“Their love story is a testament to the power of commitment, companionship, and enduring love. On behalf of both of them, I’d like to welcom.
