With less than a week of Love Island, there has already been plenty of tension and drama in the villa to keep viewers gripped to their seats. And now one former Love Island star has added fuel to the fire by claiming bombshell and king of reality TV Joey Essex isn't on the show for the "right reasons." The 33-year-old left fans stunned earlier this week, after entering the villa as the first bombshell of the series.
The star - who made a name for himself after appearing on The Only Way is Essex - immediately turned heads as he made his way to the fire pit with a fresh look. However, his arrival also sparked a frenzy on social media, and some people were left questioning whether he was actually on the show to find love. However, the Essex hunk quickly shut down claims by revealing he had signed up for the dating series to "find his future wife.
" Before going into the villa, Joey opened up about his plans to find the love of his life and for them to build on their connection on the outside. He insisted: "That’s my main aim and all I care about." The TV star previously expressed that he struggled to find love in the real world and hopes this new opportunity will spark a change in his life.
He said: "It’s difficult for me to meet girls on the outside as they judge me based on a persona so I think this experience will allow for people to see the real me." However, former Love Island contestant Frankie Foster from season 4 believes it is all part of a publicity stunt for him. H.
