Faye Winter has shared her thoughts on the new series 11 of Love Island . The hit ITV2 dating show kicked off on Monday 3 June with 12 new singletons entering the villa in the hope of finding 'The One'. However, in a twist no one saw coming, TOWIE legend Joey Essex entered the villa as a bombshell, leaving the Islanders and viewers at home in utter shock.
Talking all things Love Island, former Islander Faye, 28, who soared to fame on the show back in 2021, admitted that while it is nice to see the ITV2 show shaking things up, it's 'sad' that an unknown contestant with no platform wasn't given the opportunity to be a bombshell instead. Offering an insight into why reality TV veteran and TOWIE legend, Joey, 33, may have entered the villa, Faye exclusively told the Mirror : "He is a reality veteran, he has done every single show, at least he can add this one. I don't even know what he's been up to the last few years so maybe this is a bit of a refresh for him as well.
" Although she added: "The way he came in, I don't think he may have [changed] but I might be wrong, I love to be proven wrong. I've met Joey and he's lovely so I'm sure he'll absolutely smash it." Talking about the bombshell twist further, she said: "It's strange, I can't say if it's going to be really really good or really really bad.
But I think that's what they wanted, the producers produced and the show is always its best when people don't know what's happening and they don't know which way it's going to go, yo.
