Love Island fans were left pretty divided over bosses' decision not to move the latest episode, causing it to clash with the live Euros 2024 final match between England and Spain. While fans were able to catch the first half of the final on ITV1 and BBC One, torn viewers then had a big decision to make. It was either skip Love Island and watch later on, or skip the rest of the match.

It was an easy decision for some viewers, with some admitting they were "bored of the match" and ready to switch to the villa action. Others said the opposite, just not interested in the latest villa episode, opting to carry on with the football. But there were plenty of viewers gutted with the channel for not pushing Love Island back until 10pm like they did with a previous England match.



Given it was the final, some viewers called out bosses for not altering the schedules so that fans could watch both in real-time. With Aftersun airing at its normal Sunday time slot of 10pm with host Maya Jama , there wasn't the option to move the main show back. But some fans said bosses should have done this anyway, with many begging football fans for updates as they tuned into the villa series.

As some fans pleaded with Love Island to quickly push the show back, other fans chimed in to tell them this wasn't the right thing to do, not bothered about the match.
