Residents in the bustling seaside town of are sweating over the side effects of their city hosting a fan zone for the upcoming Wary locals residing near the 18-day fan site are fretting over fans' behaviour during the month-long event. The meetup spot - catering to 2,000 fans watching games on a massive TV and grooving to live music - will be nestled in Valley Gardens close to St Peter's Church. As the pop-up venue's opening gets closer, a mixed bag of residents have been alerted by letter, with some growing worrisome about what's lying ahead.

Resident Maxine Horn voiced her dread to The Argus, worrying about the possibility of unsavoury human deposits decorating the pavement, reports . According to her: "The surrounding little streets are used as public toilets. No one is against and fun but the council events team issuing these licences need to place the noisiest events in non-residential areas or limit opening times to a 9pm cut-off time.



" Currently, the shindigs are proposed to wrap up at 10pm, although in case of matches going into extra-time or penalties, the bars might call last orders at 10.30pm, with the fan haunt closing its doors possibly at 11pm. While some dwellers are holding their noses at the thought of encountering footie fan poo, there are others fretting that the fan investor exclusives' prices might be too steep even for the most die-hard enthusiasts.
