A release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater stealthily appeared on US retailer GameStop's website and was pushed to a since-deleted Twitter post, but the firm says the 17th November listing was "incorrect". As chronicled by IGN , in a follow-up post, GameStop didn't deign to explain but assured Metal Gear fans that release information will be forthcoming from publisher Konami in due time, reminding them that pre-orders are still live. The US Collector's Edition comes with a coveted miniature terrarium (depicting that time when Snake's bag got stuck in a tree), so we can see why they would be keen to confirm that it's business as usual otherwise.

What's mildly interesting is that 17th November is a Sunday, not traditionally a day when new games come out. It is, however, exactly 20 years to the day since Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater was released, and while we could potentially see Kojima (left to his own devices) doing something that out of pocket, Konami is a different story entirely. Americans get all the good stuff First proper look at gameplay Did you see GameStop's initial post and do a double-take like we did? If Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater isn't coming out on 17th November, when do you expect to see it? Let us know in the comments section below.
