- Eliza Bechelova, a resident of Kara-Kul town in Jalal-Abad region, has been teaching children drawing for 16 years. Eliza describes drawing with wool as the felting technique. "In 2019, my students participated in a national competition.

One of them, Argen Istamov, won 1st place, and I accompanied him to the award ceremony in Bishkek, where he received a 10,000 som certificate. A teacher noted my student's work, saying the composition was excellent. We got to know each other, and he introduced me to wool drawing.

I was supported and tried it, and it worked," she says. Each painting requires effort and energy, according to Eliza. "In each wool painting, there is unique energy.

When I try to replicate a painting, different energy emerges. Not many artists use wool because it's challenging. You pierce the painting with a specially prepared needle, creating an image.

First, we lay out the felt, draw the image with chalk, and consider the color scheme. Bright colors reveal the work's beauty. A large painting takes a week, a smaller one about three days," Bechelova said.

"Merino sheep wool is ideal. The quality of this wool is excellent, flexible and pleasant to the touch. I dream of creating a Center for Creative People to exchange experiences.

Some of my students might become great artists. I'm thrilled when they draw something exactly as I do. My main duty is to stimulate children's curiosity and raise their educational level, helping them become better in the future," she con.
