In the lead-up to the release of her memoir, A Crown That Lasts: You Are Not Your Label, South African beauty queen Demi-Leigh Tebow and husband, Tim, are letting people in on their love story. The pair, who tied the knot in 2020, recently shared some personal details in the first of four videos based on the main themes of her book - dig, plant, grow, and flourish. Demi-Leigh is expected to feature more "special guests" in the other three episodes.

At the beginning of the brief video, Tim openly expressed his fear that Demi-Leigh would have been charmed by someone else if he had not made his move. "I was terrified [that] if I didn't get to actually go on a date with you, you were going to go marry the Prince of Wales or something," he said as he spoke to his wife. Delving deeper into their relationship, Demi-Leigh admitted that they did not get to see each other as often as they would have liked while they were dating - Tim was travelling because of his pro-American football career while she was busy with Miss Universe duties.

"While we were dating, we actually maybe saw each other a total of, I mean, I could count the amount of times that we actually were together in person, like, maybe on my two hands," she said. Demi-Leigh was the second South African to be named Miss Universe in 2017, after Margaret Gardiner, 39 years earlier. As they juggled their busy schedules, Tim said they went back and forth via email before their first phone call, which he said lasted two hours, 24.
