In a celebration of natural beauty and self-worth, the second episode of Crown Chasers saw the Top 15 contestants of the Miss South Africa competition put their hair, makeup, and skincare routines to the test in a L'Oréal Paris mini-challenge. They also gave inspirational TED Talks and let their natural beauty shine through in a photoshoot challenge. Despite her efforts, Naledi Matlakala became the second contestant to be voted out of the behind-the-scenes Miss South Africa television series broadcast on S3.
She said, "I loved Crown Chasers HQ so much, from the glam squad in the glam room to all the creatives involved in the show, who I grew to adore so much!" Resident judges Leandie du Randt and Lerato Kganyago joined celebrity judge Nontando Mposo, Editor-in-Chief of Glamour South Africa, to critique the contestants' performances. For the second week running, Nompumelelo Maduna was crowned the overall winner. She said, "My Miss South Africa journey was simply transformative. It was not always comfortable or easy, but it offered immense growth within a short time. She said the journey was wild, and she is deeply grateful for the opportunity and privilege of being part of the process.
She added that Crown Chasers brings an exciting new element to the Miss South Afric.
