Since that presidential debate a couple of weeks ago much has been discussed about the viability of Joe Biden as a candidate. Many Democrats are wringing their hands and clutching at pearls about what will happen in November should Biden remain the nominee, while Republicans are jumping at the chance to say “I told you so!” to the left. Is Biden too old? I don’t know if he’s too old, but it’s obvious he’s been in a state of decline the last year or so, and it’s also obvious that he never should have run for a second term.
But to call for Biden to step down while allowing a convicted felon, serial liar, serial adulterer, business cheat and fraud to stay in the race is lunacy. Fact is, neither Biden nor Trump had any business being the two nominees and both should step aside, but these are the two we are most likely stuck with. Are these two really the best America has to offer and how could we allow this to happen? And while Biden may not be up to serving four more years, we’ve all seen Trump in action.
At least Biden would have sane, responsible, and compassionate people around him in a second term, while this time around Trump has surrounded himself with acolytes and sycophantic subservients who would only encourage and enable his worst impulses. Since the 1980s, we’ve all come to know Trump as a pathological liar who has cheated in business, cheated on his many wives, and now cheated as president. He is an abusive man who has bragged and laughed about sexu.
