Lethal Weapon star Alan Scarfe has died. The family of the late actor confirmed he died at his home in Quebec on April 28, aged 77. The British-Canadian actor was known for his roles in the likes of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
He later went on to play Magistrate Augris in a Star Trek: Voyager episode. He also went on to star alongside Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon III. Having battled colon cancer, Alan's life had previously been thrown into turmoil after his late brother Brian had also battled the same condition.
The veteran actor known for his many roles had travelled all across Europe, the United States and Canada for his work between 1964 and 1966. In the two decades after, he performed in over 100 roles. Speaking about his career, he said in 2007: "I wanted to be a great classical actor in the long tradition of Burbage, Garrick, Kean, Booth, Olivier.
Forty-five years ago when I began it was still possible to think in such a romantic, idealistic way." In a moving obituary, his relatives said Alan would have been "lost" without his family including daughter Tosia and son-in-law Austin who cared for him before his passing. In his obituary, his family said: "Son of Gladys Ellen Scarfe (Hunt), and Neville Vincent Scarfe, he was born June 8th, 1946 in Harpenden, England.
