Born on November 21, 1935, in Brooklyn, NY, Gloria's journey began as the cherished daughter of the late Edward and Anna (nee: Dursh) Schonmann and grew up alongside her sister, Carole and late brother, Robert Schonmann. After graduating, Gloria's path led her to a longstanding career as a custodian at the West Babylon School District. Her diligent work ethic was only matched by her enterprising spirit, owning two bars on Long Island, Pier One and Mr.

Jim's Tap Room, with her beloved late husband, James Lemanski. Together, they created spaces that fostered community and joy. Gloria's zest for life was evident in her numerous interests.

An avid traveler, she collected postcards from every country she visited, each card a cherished memory of her global adventures. She found joy in the simple pleasure of visiting casinos, with Atlantic City holding a special place in her heart. Gloria's love for her lake house in Lake George and her timeshare in Montauk was a testament to her appreciation for nature's beauty and the importance of leisure and relaxation.

Gloria's friendly demeanor was a constant in her interactions, whether she was hosting gatherings at her lake house or enjoying the company of friends at her Babylon home. She also enjoyed cooking, especially her golumpki and potato pancakes that James loved and watching Time Warner Classics and Blue Bloods. Her dogs, ChaCha and Tammy, were her faithful companions, and their presence brought her immeasurable comfort and happiness.
