Sucker Punch’s iconic stealth action platformer Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus will have a Platinum Trophy when it re-releases on PS5 and PS4 later this week, as part of Sony’s expanded emulation offering. Up until now, the Japanese giant has only offered upgraded PS1 and PSP titles as part of its PS Plus Premium subscription tier, but from tomorrow (11th June, 2024) it’ll introduce PS2 titles to the mix. These games will be enhanced with a variety of quality-of-life improvements, including up-rendered visuals, save states, rewind, and more.
But most importantly of all for enthusiasts, there’ll be a Platinum pot to unlock in Sly Cooper’s inaugural adventure. Quality of life This actually isn’t the first time the game has had Trophies, as the excellent PS3 compilation Sly Trilogy also added Trophies to the title. Considering how fun this game and its PS2 sequels are, though, it’s exciting to have the opportunity to unlock the Platinum all over again.
