A newly released image captures Jay Slater before he disappeared in Tenerife last Monday. The photograph depicts the 19 year old apprentice bricklayer at a rave on Sunday night, which he departed with two people he had just met. Hailing from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, Jay journeyed to the popular holiday destination with a pair of mates to attend the NRG festival.
However, he left the event accompanied by two individuals new to him and stayed at an Airbnb situated within a mountainous nature area. It is believed that upon waking the next day, he set out alone into the perilous landscapes on Monday. The search party, including police officers, rescue canines, and firefighters, remains steadfast in their quest to locate the young man. The treacherous terrain of Rural de Teno Park in the island's northwest is notorious for its dangers, owing to both the rugged landscape and the potentially harsh weather conditions. The searching teams also directed substantial effort in combing through a watercourse named Barranco Madre del Agua located beneath a gorge, where they meticulously sifted through debris and dead palm trees, reports the Mirror .
