LANY’s Paul Klein | Image: X/@thisisLANY LANY lead vocalist Paul Klein said he is currently recovering following hospitalization after being hit by a car while riding his Vespa, adding he is “fortunate to still be here.” On the band’s Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) accounts, the guitarist detailed how he got involved in the vehicular accident, saying he “cried a lot” and that the recovery process is a “challenge.” “On Thursday night of last week, I got hit by a car while I was on my Vespa heading home from the gym.
I don’t really remember anything after the collision. I woke up on a stretcher being put into an ambulance,” he said. “I’ve cried a lot of thankful and happy tears during the last few days.
I know how fortunate I am to still be here. All of my vitals are good, but walking and moving around is still a challenge,” continued the singer. Klein underscored that they are postponing their concert dates in the meantime and thanked the fans for their understanding.
“I’m getting progressively better though, and I will be at 100% really soon. The doctors have advised we reschedule our upcoming shows in Australia and New Zealand to fast-track my recovery,” he said. “Thank you for understanding.
This experience has only intensified the feelings of purpose I have, so I can’t wait to heal up and get back to it,” added the vocalist. A post shared by paul klein (@pauljasonklein) READ : Jaya, friends figure in car accident en route to Regi.
