A family of four from Lake Country has sold their house and all of their belongings for a life on the road, taking in different countries, cultures and experiences with their two little kids. Jared and Joelle Molcan are experienced world travellers and have decided to live their life to the fullest, even if it means bringing their two young ones everywhere they go. “We love being out there and seeing the world.
It wasn’t an easy decision to sell everything and we don’t know if we’ll ever be able to buy back into the market of housing, but at the end of the day, we thought it was the best for us as a couple," said Jared. "When our daughter was a year and a half and we thought this would be the perfect time to take a chance and a risk and if it doesn’t pay off, we’re still young and we can start over again.” For the Molcans, everything revolves around travel, meaning every penny they pinch goes in the travel fund, outside of essentials like food and clothes for their kids.
"We spend basically all of our money on travelling in a lot of ways," Jared said. "We buy what is necessary for us. We don’t splurge, we don’t eat out all the time, we don’t do that kind of stuff.
.. We don’t buy new clothes very often, we don’t spoil ourselves as adults.
” Joelle adds, “We don’t get each other birthday gifts, we don’t get each other anniversary gifts, it’s just anything we can do to put towards a trip and an experience for us together or as a family, that’s .
