King Charles issued a congratulatory message to the England football team after their semi-final win over the Netherlands in the Euros on Wednesday night (Thursday AEST). The monarch showed his sharp wit as he added a cheeky note of advice ahead of their turn in the finals on Sunday. Referencing their recent nail-biting finishes during the football tournament, being played in Germany, the King asked them to wrap up the win earlier in the game.
