Preparations are well underway for the 2024 Kells Kings charity cycle . The big event, which will be held on Saturday, August 31, starts and finishes in the beautiful village of Kells . Cyclists will be under starters orders from 9am and can choose from a variety of routes, with distances of 30km, 85km and 116km, which will suit all abilities.

The various routes pass through several towns and villages across the county. Cyclists can expect to see the likes Inistioge, Windgap, Dunnamaggin, Piltown, Mullinavat, Graignamanagh, Thomastown, Carrickshock and Tullogher before arriving back in Kells. As in previous years funds raised will go to the Cois Nore Cancer Support Centre to provide support for people living with a cancer diagnosis and their families.



“The Kells Kings Charity Cycle has always been an important fundraising event for Cois Nore as well as a brilliant day out.” said Bill Cuddihy, chairperson of Cois Nore. “Cois Nore are fortunate to have the goodwill of many local communities all around the county of Kilkenny.

Funds raised will ensure that our services can continue to be provided free of charge to people of all ages affected by cancer and their families to enable them to live well with their diagnosis.” Registration for the event is now open on www.kellskings.

ie . The registration fee is €40, which includes a hot meal post-cycle. People who register early online can avail of a discount and book their place on the cycle for €35.
