Kevin Spacey implied that he received support from King Charles III, though maybe not directly, after his sexual abuse scandal blew up. The former “House of Cards” star told Piers Morgan on Tuesday about his relationship with Charles, 75, who knighted Spacey the year before the actor’s fall from grace in Hollywood. Morgan, 59, asked Spacey if Charles reached out to him when the sexual assault allegations broke in 2017, and Spacey said, “No, I haven’t heard from him directly, no.

” “But through other people?” Morgan asked. “That may be true,” Spacey said. Morgan pressed Spacey on if the British monarch sent him a message at the height of the scandal.

“I heard a message, yes, and I’m very, very grateful for that,” Spacey responded. “A message of support?” Morgan asked, which Spacey confirmed. When Morgan asked Spacey if the message “meant a lot” to him, the “American Beauty” actor replied, “Yeah, but look, I don’t want to drag him into all this.

” Spacey revealed that he wrote Charles a letter but hasn’t sent it to him. In June 2016, Spacey was presented with an honorary knighthood by then-Prince Charles. The following year, Spacey was banished from Hollywood after allegations of sexual assault were leveled against the actor as the #MeToo movement started to take shape.

Spacey was accused of committing sex offenses against four men between 2004 and 2013, while he was serving as artistic director at London’s historic Old Vic theater..
