KERRY Katona has issued a worrying health update to fans after her latest surgery. The former Atomic Kitten star recently went under the knife for surgery on her nose. Kerry, 43, revealed extensive damage to her septum following years of cocaine abuse.

But as the star continues to heal from her surgery, she's revealed doctors found she has calcified bones. The condition is due to the accumulation of calcium salts in a body tissue. She explained in her OK! column : "During my post-op, my surgeon, Dr Raghavan, said they struggled to get the cartilage during the operation because he’d never seen anyone at my age with such an advanced stage of calcified bones.



"When he said the words “advanced stage” I s**t myself and the blood drained from my face, because that’s usually what you hear when it’s something serious like cancer, so I got worried, but it wasn’t. "It’s just something I get pain medication for." Kerry previously exclusively shared with us before and after pictures of her nose transformation .

Earlier this month she discussed her nose surgery on GMB, saying: “It started with my second marriage, you lie down with dogs you get fleas." She went on: "Cocaine was my friend it was my crutch. "I wasn’t taking it every day I was a binger.

When I started I couldn’t stop, I could go a while without it. “It became my best friend because everyone was using me." Kerry added: "Before I was famous, the first drug I took was with my mum.
