Kenosha Pride is making its return to Celebration Place for its 12th year of live entertainment and community fun on Saturday. This year’s free event kicks off with a Pride march through downtown Kenosha, beginning at 11:30 a.m.

in Library Park, 711 59th Place. Opening ceremonies commence at 12:15 p.m.



on the Stonewall Stage, 5501 Calabria Way, and runs until 9 p.m. Live entertainment, featuring former RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants Willam, Jax, CoCo Montrese and Malaysia Babydoll Fox, along with live music from Would You Kindly?, Little Couch Band, Blank Canvas and other artists, will be feature on the Stonewall Stage throughout the day.

A full lineup of artists, and information on meet-and-greet passes for drag performers, is available at kenoshapride.org . New this year are changes to the event’s Pulse Stage, which entails interactive entertainment and programming, according to Kenosha Pride President Dan Seaver.

“It’s going to be a large tented area with picnic tables to allow people to come in, sit (and) be in community,” he said. Seaver said some featured activities and programming include a drag story hour, youth programming provided by Diverse and Resilient, a Milwaukee-based nonprofit, and “we’ve got the LGBTQ History Project coming in to talk about LGBTQ history, and particularly the Black Nite Uprising out of Milwaukee, which happened before Stonewall.” “So we’re really excited about that,” he said.
