Wednesday, June 12, 2024 The Keelung City Government is set to host a promotional event at SPACE B-E in Yeonnam-dong, South Korea, scheduled for June 15 and 16. This event will highlight Keelung’s spectacular mountainous and coastal scenery, rich cultural heritage, and a diverse array of local delicacies. Korean visitors are invited to discover Keelung, hailed as Asia’s premier cruise ship home port, and explore its enchanting maritime environment nestled among mountains and seas.
In an effort to captivate the Korean market, the Keelung City Government has been fervently promoting its unique attractions, including the picturesque Waimushan Seaside Scenic Area, recognized as one of Taiwan’s “Top 10 Attractive Waters,” and Heping Island Park, noted for having one of the world’s 21 most beautiful sunrise views. For culinary enthusiasts, a visit to the Miaokou Night Market offers a comprehensive taste of Taiwan’s quintessential dishes, enriching the travel experience in Keelung. At the promotional event, attendees will receive brochures in Korean and can partake in a virtual reality experience showcasing Keelung’s breathtaking landscapes, such as the vibrant Zhengbin Fishing Port Color House and the historic Xiner Air-raid Shelter.
Highlights also include the newly unveiled Keelung Tower, where visitors can enjoy panoramic views from a 19-floor skywalk and see the majestic 22.5-meter Guanyin Buddha at Zhongzheng Park. An on-site scanning activity will provide part.
