Actor Kajol ‘s The Trial co-star Noor Malabika Das was found dead in her Mumbai apartment on June 6. She was 37. As per reports, the police recovered her decomposed body from her Lokhanwala Apartment and suicide is suspected.
Her body was found after her neighbors informed Oshiwara police station of a foul smell coming from her apartment. Mumbai Police have launched an investigation into her death and Noor’s family, who are in their native place, have also been informed. The actor was cremated on Sunday by an NGO.
Meanwhile, All India Cine Workers Association has written a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde , demanding a probe into her death. The letter said, “Her untimely death is a poignant reminder of the disturbing trend of suicides within the Indian film fraternity. The recurrence of such tragic incidents within the Bollywood industry calls for a serious introspection and a thorough investigation into the underlying causes.
