The following events are scheduled for the week ahead throughout the region: • The inaugural Red, White & Blue To-Do Festivities will be held Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.

m. in Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Historic District partners are gearing up for a day of pomp and parade, as declared by John Adams in 1776, encouraging visitors to celebrate independence in the place where it all began.



This monumental occasion promises to be a memorable experience for all, featuring the Red, White, & Blue To-Do Pomp & Parade, festooned decor, concerts, games, extended visitation hours at area historic attractions, restaurant specials and more in America’s most historic square mile. • The Daniel Boone Homestead, Exeter Township, will host Evening on the Green, a newly envisioned after-hours event, on Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m., featuring wine and mead plus delicious food, frozen treats and non-alcoholic beverages.

Guests will be able to enjoy a Colonial beer brewing demonstration by the Regimental Brewmeister. This process takes several hours to complete. The Brewmeister, aka Michael Carver, will be on-site beginning at 11:30 a.

m. to get the process started and allow for enough time to finish creating his brew. Even then the process will not be complete as the beer will need to ferment off-site for about 10 days before it is bottled.
