WATERBURY – Judith “Judy” M. (Quilter) Bergeron, 79, wife of the late Robert Bergeron, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2024, at Shady Oaks Assisted Living in Bristol. Born in Waterbury on Jan.

16, 1945, Judy was the daughter of the late Bartholomew and Margaret (Manley) Quilter. She lived most of her life in Waterbury and was a graduate of Crosby High School. She retired from Bendix Corp.



, where she worked for more than 40 years. Judy had a beautiful smile and a big heart. She shared her life with her husband Bob, whom she treasured for 26 years.

Together they enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren. One of her favorite spots was Cape Cod. There she was able to enjoy the company of her sisters and their families at the beach and going for boat rides.

Judy was an avid reader and loved shopping with family and friends. Left to carry on her loving legacy are her three sons, Mark Barlow, Jeffrey Barlow and his wife Gina, Christopher Barlow and his wife Lisanne; her six grandchildren: Mark Barlow Jr. and wife Kelly, Joe Barlow, Nicole Barlow, Scott Barlow, Shealyn Barlow, and Jason Barlow; and four great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her three sisters, Bonnie and her husband Robert Samson, Lynn and her husband Larry Hunter, Kate and her husband Edward Soltez; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her home caregiver Laura and all the staff at Shady Oakes who assisted with her care. Friends and family are invi.
