JOHN Ramsey will never stop fighting authorities for the truth - but claims some cops want him "dead." The father of six-year-old JonBenét Ramsey , who was found beaten and strangled in December 1996 and whose case has never been solved , told The U.S.

Sun at CrimeCon in Nashville that he wants the "cloud" over his family to be lifted for the sake of his grandchildren. John knows being a cop is a "hard job" but feels there has been "little evidence the case is moving forward" despite having an encouraging talk with newly installed Chief of Police Stephen Redfearn recently. He's happy that Redfearn has come from "the outside" but is desperate for the FBI to become involved even though he fears vital crime scene evidence, which he wants to have modern genetic genealogical testing used, has been lost.

John wants legislation in place that any child murder instantly becomes a federal offense, which would allow the likes of the FBI to investigate. But he told The U.S Sun, that there are fears that some un-named members of police are wishing he would stop campaigning and be silenced for good.

"A credible source recently told me that someone was overheard saying 'I hope John Ramsey dies soon.' "Of course, that's awful to hear but I will never stop fighting for the truth. "It's a sickening reality but I have bad news, I have a grandmother who was 100 so I am not going anywhere.

" "Police departments need mature leadership," he said. "That's been the problem all along." The U.
