Broadcaster John Hunt harrowingly lost his wife and two daughters in a tragic triple killing at their home last week. Mother-of-three Carol Hunt, 61, and sisters Hannah Hunt, 28, and Louise Hunt, 25, were identified as the three fatally injured women "targeted" and attacked with a crossbow and other weapons in Ashlyn Close, Bushey, Hertfordshire, on July 9. Kyle Clifford, 26, was arrested on suspicion of their murders on July 10 following a manhunt.
Sports commentator Mr Hunt, 58 - who has a third daughter called Amy - is said to have been working for the BBC at Lingfield Park racecourse on Tuesday when he returned home around 7pm to find his wife and two daughters had been horrifically attacked. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the three victims died at the scene. ITV racing commentator Matt Chapman has since shared a message from Mr Hunt, who he said "absolutely adored" his family.
Mr Chapman told the BBC: "He told me: 'Matty, the message I would tell everyone is, 'You never know when it's going to be the last day you see your family'...
The message was very clear: Make the most of every day because you just don't know." Mr Hunt and his daughter Amy paid tribute to their loved ones on Saturday and said their devastation "cannot be put into words". The statement read: "We would like to thank people for their kind messages and for the support we have received in recent days.
These have provided great comfort to us for which we are very grateful. As you can imag.
