The mum of missing Lancashire teenager Jay Slater fears her missing son was "bundled off somewhere" when he disappeared in Tenerife. Jay, 19, has not been heard from for nearly a week. The teen last communicated with a friend on Monday, when he told them he planned to brave an 11-hour trek back to his accommodation.

His friends and family now fear for his life - some believing a theory he may have been abducted. Jay's mum, Debbie Duncan, has not heard from her son since he left a rave party on the island with two other Brits to an AirBnB an hour away. A search involving helicopters and dogs has failed to turn up a trace of the teen - and Ms Duncan fears her son has been kidnapped, reports The Mirror .

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the mum broke down in tears and said she doesn't "know what to think" as she speculated on the whereabouts of her son. She said: "I'm all over the place and I'm trying to keep positive, has somebody taken him? Is he panicked and lost in the mountains? I just don't know, that's why if anyone has any information please just tell us." She added: "But if he is lost then why hasn't anyone seen him? It's busy with hikers and holidaymakers up there so if he was lost then someone would have seen him, so that's why I think maybe he's been bundled off somewhere.".
