Steph Robinson has toured Britain in search of the most 'beautiful' road trips to enjoy this summer. The travel influencer, who has built up a whopping 140,000 followers from her adventures, drove 742 miles over three days after setting off from her home in Whitley Bay, Newcastle. "I'm not wasting any time this summer, I want it all.
Hikes, walks, drives, lake days, camping, I'm outside," the Geordie explorer said. What's even more impressive, Robinson embarked on her Britain tour in a fully electric Škoda Enyaq 85, and says charging the EV provided the 'perfect excuse for exploring new areas' and getting her steps in. "Travelling around the UK has never been easier or more enjoyable!" she added.
First on the Robinson's list was Coed y Brenin forest in Wales, Britain's first purpose-built mountain biking centre, is a hotspot for geocaching. You can hire an electric bike and zoom around the lush greenery, or opt for one of the three walking trails to soak in the views at a slower pace. There's also a waterfall to admire if you're in need of a little pit stop to tuck into lunch or enjoy your flask of coffee.
The main car park and visitors centre at Coed y Brenin, from which most trails start, is easily reached from the A470. Nestled deep in Dartmoor National Park, Bovey Castle is a neo-Elizabethan manor built by the son of WH SMith and Viscount Hambleden in 1890. It was used as a convalescent home for officers during WWI and a military hospital during WWII - but is now an awa.
